The Rock of Offence website does not engage in promoting a particular church, denomination, or preacher. It is dedicated only to Jesus Christ and the knowledge of the New Covenant established on His blood (Read: Matt. 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20, 1 Cor. 11:25, 2 Cor. 3:6, Heb. 8:6-13, Heb. 9:15, Heb. 12:24).

More than 8 out of 10 churches subtly and skillfully redefine Christ's New Covenant, while claiming that they preach Bible truth. This means they publicly claim to support the New Covenant, while quietly undermining and redefining its liberating principles in their teachings. This is not about "differences of opinions". It's about either walking in truth, or being led astray in our faith. Saint Paul warned that it can be a matter of spiritual life and death. As a result, choosing to be a Biblical "truth-seeker" meets with opposition and even hostility from many parts of the worldwide Christian Church. This opposition increases as we approach the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. These are dangerous times for inexperienced Bible believers who are seeking truth. We constantly remind readers that when a church organization is labeled "Christian" or "Bible-Believing", it doesn't always mean that they represent the authentic "Jesus Christ" of the New Testament or His Gospel.

Concerning the future salvation His sacrifice
would provide, Jesus made the following
statement at the Last Supper:

"This cup is THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD,
which is shed for you." (Luke 22:20 NKJV)

Following the cross, the book of Hebrews
teaches about the New Covenant of Christ,
which provides A NEW AND LIVING WAY
established on better promises.

"Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron? FOR THE PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED, OF NECESSITY THERE IS ALSO A CHANGE OF THE LAW. For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord (Jesus Christ) arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come,

NOT ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF A FLESHLY
COMMANDMENT, BUT ACCORDING TO THE
POWER OF AN ENDLESS LIFE.

For He testifies:

[ Speaking of Jesus Christ ]
'You are a priest forever according
to the order of Melchizedek.'

FOR ON THE ONE HAND THERE IS AN ANNULLING (ANNUL: TO MAKE LEGALLY INVALID OR VOID) OF THE FORMER COMMANDMENT (THE MOSAIC COVENANT OF LAW) BECAUSE OF ITS WEAKNESS AND UNPROFITABLENESS, FOR THE LAW MADE NOTHING PERFECT; on the other hand, THERE IS THE BRINGING IN OF A BETTER HOPE, THROUGH WHICH WE DRAW NEAR TO GOD. And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:

[ Again, Speaking of Jesus Christ ]
The Lord has sworn and will not relent,
‘You are a priest forever according to the
order of Melchizedek’”),

BY SO MUCH MORE JESUS HAS BECOME
A SURETY OF A BETTER COVENANT.

"But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He (Jesus) is also MEDIATOR OF A BETTER COVENANT, WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED ON BETTER PROMISES. For if that FIRST COVENANT had been faultless, then no place would have been sought FOR A SECOND."

"IN THAT HE (JESUS CHRIST) SAYS, "A NEW COVENANT," HE HAS MADE THE FIRST OBSOLETE. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away."

"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS (THE NEW COVENANT), BY A NEW AND LIVING WAY WHICH HE (JESUS) CONSECRATED FOR US,

through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL."
